Me vs. Multiple Sclerosis
So, I suppose since this IS my blog, I am able to write my personal thoughts and feelings in it. Well, in order to do so, I have to tell one of my biggest secrets that I don’t tell many people at all. Even most who know me well don’t know. So, my secret as you may have guessed from the title is that I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis).
I was diagnosed at the tender age of 18. It was right after my 18th birthday actually, happy birthday to me huh? Lol… I remember when I was told that I had it I was terrified. I had no idea what it was really, I mean I had heard of it, but still! Did this mean I was going to die? I had no idea what the disease did. So, my doctor explained to me that I had to take an injection daily and how I can’t be in heat. So that means, he explained, no tanning bed, no being outside in the heat, and definitely no hot tubs. I was told I needed to take showers as cold as I could. Joy. I haven’t done the best at the shower thing actually, but I probably should. Who wants to take a cold shower?! Definitely not me! Haha.
Well, I’m 24 now so I’ve been doing quite well dealing with it so far, until recently. My symptoms have gotten significantly worse and after having the MRI that I have to have done ever so often they found that I have gotten much worse. Enough that my neurologist can’t see me anymore (which sucks because I loved him he’s great) and is refering me to a specialist. The one he’s refering me to is working his schedule around to get me in as soon as he can, because the closest opening he had was November 11th and apparently I need to be seen much sooner than that. I’m really nervous about it to be honest. I’m in so much pain that I’m having to stay with my parents so they can help me with Alyssa (who is 8 months now). It makes me feel like I’m so pathetic!! I can’t even take care of my own daughter!! What do you do though?
I do have to go. Alyssa needs her mommy.
Craziness!!!
So sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted a blog! Alyssa went into the hospital not long after I posted the last one, and we were in there for a week, and it’s just been insane since then!!
The most recent thing that happened was I wrecked my car!!
Alyssa slept through the whole thing and didn’t get hurt at all! =) All that happened to me was a few bruises and being sore afterwards. So, we were very blessed! The car still may not survive. LOL! So, I’m without a car at the moment until we can either fix the car or get a new one. When I say “we” I’m refering to myself and my parents. They just started remodeling though, so they can’t really afford to buy me a new car and I sure can’t afford it right now, so idk what I’m going to do! =( Classes start on the 18th of this month for me, so I’m going to have to do something!!! Sigh. They are going to let me borrow the hummer to go to class I think though, so that’s great! =)
Alyssa has 2 teeth now!! It’s crazy! She’s 7 months old as of today too! She’s growing up too fast! I love her so much!!!
Well, it’s her nap time so I gotta be her to sleep! I’ll write again soon!

Ex’s and Teething
First I wanna say that I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July, and I really hope that none of you blew yourself up!!! I didn’t do anything for this Independance Day. Alyssa is too young for fireworks. I don’t want to scare her to death!!
I did however go to my old neighborhood to see everyone. It was nice until my ex *the first love I was with for years* showed up with his girlfriend. I know I have a baby with another man, but I have never seen him with another woman, and it really got to me. I didn’t expect to see him, he lives 3 hours away, and I just knew he’d be hanging out with friends down t here. What’s odd, is that I was at his aunts house. The whole neighborhood *at least 90%* are his realitives *We used to be neighbors* so I’m sure it was a shock for him to walk in and see me and my baby sitting there too. We do still go to lunch and stuff when he comes in though. We’re still friends… odd I know… but it still didn’t prepare me for that. I left… quickly! lol I wasn’t rude though, and I know the poor girl had to feel extremely akward as well. So, it was best.
Anyway…
For the past few days Alyssa has been really fussy. I’m afraid that her gums are bothering her and/or she’s getting sick. My parents have been remodeling their home, so I am hoping that those circumstances have nothing to do with how she’s feeling.
I’ve heard so many different things about what to do for babies when they’re teething that I honestly don’t know which to try and which to disgruard! Tylenol seems to help her some, although I very rarely give it to her, due to the fact that I’ve been told they can become immuned to medicines if they are used too often. I may actually need to give it to her more!!! Lol… I give her maybe a dose every week or so!
Benedryll is another that I’ve tried, only once though. I was told it works, but will knock the baby out. Of course, being my child, it did the opposite!! EEK! Talk about wired! She was acting drunk! I could tell she was sleepy, but she was going crazy! So, no more of that!!!
Oragel is the last I’m going to talk about when it comes to medicines for babies that are teething. This is something I almost purchased until I was told what some of the things that could occur due to taking it. Where it numbs their mouth, they may swallow their tounge!
I’ve also been told that it causes their gums to harden and puts them in more pain than they would be in already. I don’t want either of those to happen, it doesn’t matter how rare the tounge thing is, I’m NOT taking that chance!!! I’m worried about everything when it comes to her. Lol… But she’s my world! I love her more than life. I’m not going to risk hers!
Montana Meth Project
So, I recently discovered the Montana Meth Project. They have billboards and commericals that you wouldn’t usually see. They aren’t “normal” but show the reality of what happens due to Meth use. Some are hard to watch, but I think it’s something that needs to be seen across the U.S. Maybe it will change someones mind about trying or continuing the use of meth or any other drug. Drug abuse is a major problem everywhere, and needs to be addressed.
I don’t live in Montana, but Meth is a problem where I live too. However, the largest problem we have in Kentucky is Pain Killers. Those cause people to do things like what is seen in the commericals and billboards as well. It’s not just meth that does it. Hopefully the Monana Meth Project will get National coverage and make a difference in the way people view drug abuse.
Here are some of the billboards:
My beautiful baby girl
I’m sitting here rocking Alyssa to sleep *I’m on my iPod* and I just feel so blessed to have her. I know I’m a single mom, and it’s difficult, but it’s sooo worth it!
She’ll be 6 months on the 5th and it’s crazy how fast the time has passed! She’s starting to hold her bottle on her own *not always, but she’s doing good when she tries!* she’s also rolling over and trying to sit up by herself and even crawl!!! I’m very proud of her, but I don’t want her to grow up! LOL! But I know she has to, and she’s doing so well!!
She’s developing her own personality too! Talk about having a temper!! Haha! She loves being the center of attention! She’s a happy baby and smiles most the time, but if she doesn’t get what she wants when she wants it, she throws a fit! Yeah, she’s a bit spoiled! LOL! I can’t help it though. She’s my everything. My world evolves around her. There’s no one in my life that she has to share my attention with, and everyone tells me that I’ll regret spoiling her as much as I have when I do decide to start dating and have someone in my life romantically. That’s not going to happen any time soon though, so I’ll worry about that when the time comes. I don’t trust guys at all, so I’m sure it will be a long time before it happens. They promise you the world, but as soon as times get hard, they run. I’m a bit jaded if you haven’t noticed lol.
Well, my girls asleep so i’m gonna go relax a bit.
My Vlogs
I am sorry that if you have attempeted to view my videos and are unable to see them. Unfortunately, do to certain situations, I have changed them from “public” view to “private” view.
I loved doing the videos, however I am a mother before anything else, and refuse to do anything to put my child in danger.
I am sorry if that upsets anyone, but that’s just how it is.
I am going to continue to write my blogs though!
However, there will be no more vlogs.
I hope you will all continue to read and hope you understand why I am no longer going to do videos.

I was lucky enough to be apart of a video that was for a very important cause. Fighting to End Hunger.
Kelloggs is donating an entire day of production to go to those who are stuggling with hunger.
Are you aware that 1 in 8 people are going hungry? That’s 36,000,000!
Did you know the majority of those who are stuggling with hunger, are children?

Vlog shortage
Sorry about not posting a vlog in the past couple days. I have one, it’s about done being edited. But when you’re as busy as I am, at throwing Alyssa in on top of that, it’s hard to film, edit, and then post videos everyday. I do film daily, it yet doesn’t always make it to the editing process or the publishing. Oh well.
Eating herbano pepper
This boy eats a herbano pepper and his reaction to it is absolutely hilarious. I laughed until I cried when I watched this. I really hope he’s okay though!!
