20 facts of being pregnant

1. You look at your belly in the mirror instead of your face.

2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.

3. The sacrifices you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices. (everything you give up is worth it.)

4. You respect your body…FINALLY.

5. You have stronger opinions and are stronger willed. (some people call this “mood swings”)

6. You respect your parents (especially your mother) and love them in a new way.

7. You find that your baby’s pain feels much worse than your own.

8. You finally understand what all the other mommies meant when they said, “I am complete”

9. You believe once again in the things you believe in when you were a child. (hurray for santa clause!)

10. You lose touch with the people in your life that you should have lost touch with a long time ago.

11. You heart breaks much more easily.

12. You think of your baby 786,234,852,947 times a day. In fact, you’re so busy with this that you don’t have time for anything else!

13. Food that don’t go together taste so good! (Thank God for french fries dipped in ice cream!!!)

14. You no longer like it when you guys check you out. In fact, it offends you.

15. You think before you speak, and you learn to expand your vocabulary. (The word “bottom” now replaces “ass”)

16. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive.

17. You see beauty in the ugliest babies, and you find yourself saying, “aww, look how cute that baby is.”

18. You realize that you can love someone before you even meet them.

Contractions

So I was admitted into the hospital day before yesterday, I was having contractions and they told me I was dilated to 1. But the contractions weren’t bad at all so they gave me fluids and antibiotics through IV nd told me to just lay around and that Mother Nature should take care of it. I also had some bleeding, but it was barely anything. Scared me to death though!!! Mom thinks it’s because of the stress I’ve been going through because of my ex. So, I’m just taking it easy and trying not to worry about anything.  They told me if the pains got worse or if I started bleeding again to come back,  but I haven’t been really having them that badly and there’s no bleeding! :)

Single mom

So me and my boyfriend *and the father of my baby* split up. It’s hard, but I know that I am going to be okay. I am going to find an apartment in my home town and live there. I know everything is going to be okay because I’m strong and I have my family who is going to be there for me. There were just some things about our relationship that I couldn’t deal with.

On to bette things though, right now I’m crocheting a blanket for Alysa *my baby* for when she’s born. I’m going to go work on it a while. I just got started on it, so I’ve got a lot to do! Lol….

23 weeks and 5 days

So I’m 23 weeks and 5 days, that’s means I’m already a couple weeks into my 6th month. It seems like I just found out I was having a baby, but then again it’s like I’ve been pregnant forever! I’m getting really anxious and can’t wait to hold her and have her with me. I know that I’ve still got a little while to go but it’s going by so fast. I know the last month is going to take the longest to go by.

Everything is going pretty good though. They said that she and I are both underweight, so they told me that I had to not be on the go so much, and to eat more. It’s gonna drive me crazy to not do anything, but it’s for the best or the baby, so it’s totally worth it!!! I feel her all the time moving around and when she decides to let people, they can feel her too. Usually though she just stops and refuses to move when I want someone to feel her. Lol…  She loves keeping me up at night too I think. She’s always kicking and flopping around when I lay down to sleep. She’s trying to get me ready for the sleepless nights I have ahead of me I suppose.
